High-Speed Bus Communication Architecture
For internal communication, the T8311 connects to the TMR processor via the Inter-Module Bus (IMB) located on the controller chassis backplane, ensuring high-bandwidth and deterministic data exchange. For system expansion, it interfaces with TMR expansion processors through the expansion bus, enabling seamless multi-chassis system construction.
The expansion bus uses Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) cables and supports data transmission rates of up to 250 Mbps. This high-speed communication allows flexible expansion of I/O capacity and system functionality while preserving the fault tolerance and performance characteristics of the IMB bus.
