Description
The ICS TRIPLEX T8310 Trusted TMR Digital Input Module is a high-reliability, 40-channel 24 Vdc digital input module designed for safety-critical industrial control systems. Built on a Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) architecture, the T8310 delivers exceptional fault tolerance and dependable signal processing in demanding operational environments.
Each input channel is independently protected using TMR design and a Sigma-Delta (Σ-Δ) input circuit, ensuring accurate voltage measurement and continuous system validation. Integrated diagnostics and automated self-testing enable early fault detection while maintaining uninterrupted system operation. The module supports per-channel line monitoring, allowing precise identification of open circuits and short circuits in field wiring.
For event analysis and troubleshooting, the T8310 includes an onboard Sequence of Events (SOE) function with 1 ms resolution, using configurable voltage thresholds to detect state changes. High-level 2500 V optical/electrical isolation ensures compliance with safety isolation requirements. Designed for operational flexibility, the module supports online hot replacement via Companion Slot or SmartSlot configurations. Front-panel LEDs clearly display input status, wiring faults, and module health, making maintenance faster and safer.
