GE Excitation EX 2100e
The GE EX2100e is the current generation of GE’s static excitation platform, built for digital control environments and offering enhanced AVR performance, expanded communication capabilities, and improved integration with modern plant control and monitoring systems. It is deployed in new-build gas and steam turbine installations as well as excitation modernisation programmes where older EX2000 and EX2100 systems are being upgraded.
EX2100e hardware includes digital AVR control modules, exciter power converter boards, I/O interface cards, and communication modules compatible with plant DCS and SCADA systems. As the active platform, EX2100e components have better OEM availability than the legacy EX2000 and EX2100 series but for buyers who need specific boards outside standard OEM order cycles, or who are procuring in quantities that do not fit minimum order requirements, independent supply channels remain a practical route.
