GE Excitation EX 2100

The GE EX2100 is a system that makes the old EX2000 better. It has a hardware design that is more flexible it can find problems easier and it works closer with GE Speedtronic systems that control turbines. The GE EX2100 does a lot of things it controls the voltage automatically it helps the field it controls the power and it protects the generator. The GE EX2100 was the system used with GE turbine-generator sets for a long time from the 2000s to the 2010s and it is still the most used system today.

The hardware for the GE EX2100 includes control boards for automatic voltage regulation cards for feedback from the AC modules that supply power to the exciter boards that help with synchronisation amplifiers, for gate pulses and cards that detect the ground.
