ABB REU610 Relay – Advanced Protection and Supervision for Power Distribution
The ABB REU610 Relay is a key member of ABB’s Relion® product family, designed to provide comprehensive protection and supervision for power distribution systems. Part of the 610 series, the REU610 is ideal for protecting feeders, motors, and systems from over-voltage, under-voltage, and other critical conditions in utility and industrial applications.
The REU610 relay is equipped with a plug-in design, ensuring quick and safe installation, maintenance, and commissioning of switchgear. With this versatile relay, you can effectively monitor and protect distribution substation busbars, feeders, power transformers, and motors. It is also perfect for capacitor bank protection and the supervision of non-discriminative earth-fault protection in isolated neutral systems, based on residual voltage measurement.
This relay also facilitates important operations like automatic substation busbar changeovers and disconnecting small power units from the public network (islanding), ensuring smooth and safe operation in dynamic power conditions.
