The Bently Nevada 3500/22M Transient Data Interface (TDI) is an essential communication module designed to bridge the Bently Nevada 3500 Series Monitoring System with host software platforms such as System 1 Condition Monitoring and Diagnostic Software and 3500 Configuration Software. Combining the roles of a traditional Rack Interface Module (RIM) and a communication processor, the TDI simplifies system architecture while enabling advanced data collection and analysis.
Installed in Slot 1 of the 3500 rack, next to the power supplies, the 3500/22M TDI interfaces directly with M-series monitors (e.g., 3500/40M, 3500/42M), collecting both static and dynamic data. This includes steady-state vibration trends as well as high-resolution waveform (transient) data, which is transmitted over an Ethernet connection to connected software systems. This real-time communication ensures predictive maintenance and accurate diagnostics across rotating machinery.
With built-in capabilities for standard static data acquisition, the TDI becomes even more powerful when used with an optional Channel Enabling Disk, unlocking transient data capture functionality. Acting as the communication hub for the monitoring system, the TDI does not influence the protection path, ensuring machine protection remains active even if the TDI is offline.
Ideal for applications in oil & gas, power generation, and heavy industry, the 3500/22M TDI supports scalable monitoring systems and integrates effortlessly with Bently Nevada’s software ecosystem. It enhances data visibility, improves decision-making, and helps maximize equipment uptime.
Now available and in stock, the Bently Nevada 3500/22M Transient Data Interface is the trusted solution for advanced condition monitoring and system integration.
